Transparent conducting SnO(x) films high rate reactively sputtered onto polyester foil.

TL;DR: Thin SnOx films were applied to polyester foil by reactive rf magnetron sputtering to obtain data on deposition rates and resistance and luminous transmittance.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dielectric function of sputter-deposited silicon dioxide and silicon nitride films in the thermal infrared.

TL;DR: La fonction dielectrique complexe permet de comprendre les proprietes optiques des materiaux et d'obtenir leurs performances radiatives.
Journal ArticleDOI

Resistance noise in TiO2-based thin film gas sensors under ultraviolet irradiation

TL;DR: In this paper, resistance fluctuations in thin crystalline TiO2 films were investigated for gas sensing applications, and it was found that a prominent change in resistance noise level was observed as the irradiated film was exposed to a gas containing 1.5 ppm of H2S, while no change was observed in the absence of UV.

Optical properties of ultrafine gold particles

TL;DR: In this article, optical transmittance through samples comprised of ultrafine gold particles was reported, which were prepared by two techniques: gas evaporation and island growth in discontinuous films and the measured data could be brought into detailed quantitative agreement with computed data based on the Maxwell-Garnett theory provided an accurate model for the particle morphology was employed and the local field effects were accounted for properly.
