Thin gold films on SnO2:In: Temperature-dependent effects on the optical properties
TL;DR: In this paper, gold films with thicknesses of 5-±-0.5nm were sputter deposited onto SnO 2 : in-coated glass kept at different temperatures up to 140°C, and similar films, deposited onto substrates at 25-°C.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evaporation of WO3 on carbon nanotube films: a new hybrid film
Carla Bittencourt,Alexandre Felten,E.H. Espinosa,Radu Ionescu,Nicolas Moreau,Peter Heszler,Claes-Göran Granqvist,J.J. Pireaux,Eduard Llobet +8 more
TL;DR: Hybrid WO3-CNT (carbon nanotube) films were prepared in two steps: in the first step, the drop coating method was employed for coating silicon substrates with a multiwalled CNT film prepared with oxygen plasma functionalized MWCNTs; in the second step, a layer of wO3 nanoparticles was deposited over the mWCNT film by using an advanced gas deposition unit.
Journal ArticleDOI
Photothermal conversion with cermet films: Implications of the bounds on the effective dielectric function
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the relation between microstructure and spectral properties of cermet selective surfaces by starting from the mathematical bounds on the average dielectric permeability for an isotropic Co-Al2O3 model system.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ageing of electrochromic WO3 coatings characterized by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy
TL;DR: In this paper, a method for characterization of ageing of electrochromic materials by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) was developed, in which a very small amount of optical degradation was observed in both the bleached and coloured states.
Book ChapterDOI
Electrochromic glazing for energy efficient buildings
TL;DR: In this article, the basics of electrochromic technology with a view toward its nanotechnology aspects, presents a case study on electro-chromic foil for glass lamination, and ventures into some forward-looking aspects.
