Effect of Dapagliflozin, Compared With Placebo, According to Baseline Risk in DAPA-HF.
Kieran F. Docherty,Joanne Simpson,Pardeep S. Jhund,Silvio E. Inzucchi,Lars Køber,Mikhail Kosiborod,Felipe Martinez,Piotr Ponikowski,Marc S. Sabatine,Olof Bengtsson,Mikaela Sjöstrand,Dan Lindholm,Anna Maria Langkilde,Scott D. Solomon,John J.V. McMurray +14 more
TL;DR: The MAGGIC risk score was available for 4,740 of 4,744 patients in DAPA-HF (median score 22 [IQR: 18-25]) as discussed by the authors .

CDNF rescues motor neurons in three animal models of ALS by targeting ER stress
Francesca De Lorenzo,Patrick Lüningschrör,Jinhan Nam,Federica Pilotto,Emilia Galli,Päivi Lindholm,Cora R. von Collenberg,Simon Tii Mungwa,Sibylle Jablonka,Julia Kauder,Susanne Petri,Dan Lindholm,Dan Lindholm,Smita Saxena,Michael Sendtner,Mart Saarma,Merja H. Voutilainen +16 more
TL;DR: It is identified that intracerebroventricular (i.c.v.) administration of CDNF significantly halts the progression of the disease and improves motor behavior in TDP43-M337V and SOD1-G93A rodent models of ALS.
Journal ArticleDOI
Protective Role of Low Ethanol Administration Following Ischemic Stroke via Recovery of KCC2 and p75NTR Expression
Stanislav Khirug,Shetal Soni,Marta Saez Garcia,Marine Tessier,Liang Zhou,Natalia Kulesskaya,Heikki Rauvala,Dan Lindholm,Dan Lindholm,Anastasia Ludwig,Florence Molinari,Claudio Rivera,Claudio Rivera +12 more
TL;DR: It is shown that changes in GABAergic signaling, Cl− homeostasis, and expression of chloride cotransporters in the post-traumatic mouse brain can be significantly reduced by administration of 3% ethanol to the drinking water, revealing a pathway triggered by low concentration of ethanol as a novel therapeutically relevant target.
Journal ArticleDOI
Finnish neuroscience from past to present
TL;DR: The history of neuroscience in Finland is reviewed from its origins such as the studies into the anatomy, pathology and physiology of the nervous system to later discoveries in clinical, molecular and translational neurosciences and pharmacology.
Journal Article
Nerve growth factor
TL;DR: In this paper, a detailed survey of the essential biological actions of NGF is presented, focusing on two actual questions of the NGF research, namely, the regulation of NF synthesis in the target tissues of NF-responsive neurons, and the molecular mechanism(s) of action of NF on these neurons.
