Impact of prenatal maternal nutrition and parental residual feed intake (RFI) on mRNA abundance of metabolic drivers of growth and development in young Angus bulls
Aidin Foroutan,Julia Devos,Julia Devos,David S. Wishart,Changxi Li,Changxi Li,M.G. Colazo,John P. Kastelic,Jacob C. Thundathil,Carolyn Fitzsimmons,Carolyn Fitzsimmons +10 more
TL;DR: Investigation of the impacts of prenatal under-nutrition during the first half of gestation, as well as selection for divergent RFI, upon gene expression in select tissues, including Longissimus thoracis and semimembranosus muscles, liver, and testis, in Angus bull progeny showed correlations between gene expressions in these four tissues with phenotypic measures of feed efficiency and body weight.

Simulations and design of microfabricated interdigitated electrodes for use in a gold nanoparticle enhanced biosensor
TL;DR: Finite element analysis simulations were carried out using COMSOL Multiphysics software to determine some of the optimal design parameters for microfabricating interdigitated electrodes as well as predicting the effects of different electrode materials.
