Clinical practice recommendations for the diagnosis and management of X-linked hypophosphataemia
Dieter Haffner,Francesco Emma,Deborah M. Eastwood,Deborah M. Eastwood,Martin Biosse Duplan,Justine Bacchetta,Dirk Schnabel,Philippe Wicart,Philippe Wicart,Detlef Bockenhauer,Fernando Santos,Elena Levtchenko,Pol Harvengt,Martha Kirchhoff,Federico Di Rocco,Catherine Chaussain,Maria Louisa Brandi,Lars Sävendahl,Karine Briot,Peter Kamenicky,Lars Rejnmark,Agnès Linglart +21 more
TL;DR: It is recommended that the diagnosis of XLH is based on signs of rickets and/or osteomalacia in association with hypophosphataemia and renal phosphate wasting in the absence of vitamin D or calcium deficiency.
Journal ArticleDOI
Colchicine use in children and adolescents with familial Mediterranean fever: literature review and consensus statement.
Tilmann Kallinich,Dieter Haffner,Tim Niehues,Kristina Huss,Elke Lainka,Ulrich Neudorf,Christof Schaefer,S. Stojanov,Christian Timmann,Rolf Keitzer,Huri Ozdogan,Seza Ozen +11 more
TL;DR: A consensus statement on the application of colchicine in children and adolescents with familial Mediterranean fever was developed by caregivers from Germany, Austria, and Turkey.
Journal ArticleDOI
Circulating suPAR in Two Cohorts of Primary FSGS
Changli Wei,Howard Trachtman,Jing Li,Chuanhui Dong,Aaron L. Friedman,Jennifer J. Gassman,June L. McMahan,Milena Radeva,Karsten M. Heil,Agnes Trautmann,Ali Anarat,Sevinç Emre,Gian M. Ghiggeri,Fatih Ozaltin,Dieter Haffner,Debbie S. Gipson,Frederick J. Kaskel,Dagmar-Christiane Fischer,Franz Schaefer,Jochen Reiser +19 more
TL;DR: Circulating suPAR levels are elevated in geographically and ethnically diverse patients with FSGS and do not reflect a nonspecific proinflammatory milieu, and the associations between a change in circulating suPAR with different therapeutic regimens and with remission support the role of suPAR in the pathogenesis of FSGS.
Journal ArticleDOI
FGF23 and its role in X-linked hypophosphatemia-related morbidity
Signe Sparre Beck-Nielsen,Zulf Mughal,Dieter Haffner,Ola Nilsson,Elena Levtchenko,Gema Ariceta,Carmen de Lucas Collantes,Dirk Schnabel,Ravi Jandhyala,Outi Mäkitie +9 more
TL;DR: The pathophysiology of XLH is complex, involving a range of molecular pathways that variously contribute to different manifestations of the disease, however localised fluctuations in tissue non-specific alkaline phosphatase, pyrophosphate, calcitriol and direct effects of FGF23 have been observed to be associated with certain manifestations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Becker,Francisco Cano,Hong Xu,Yam Ngo Lim,William E. Smoyer,Ifeoma C. Anochie,Koichi Nakanishi,Elisabeth M Hodson,Dieter Haffner +19 more
