TL;DR: In this paper, an electrocatalytic approach inspired by decades of energy storage precedent can be leveraged in the context of modern organic synthesis, which not only offers benefits in terms of sustainability and efficiency but also enables enhanced chemoselectivity and unique and tunable reactivity.
Book ChapterDOI
Selective Hydrogenation of Unsaturated Aldehydes over Zeolite-Supported Metals
TL;DR: In this article, the hydrogenation of 3-methyl crotonaldehyde was investigated over Ru supported on NaY and KY zeolites in both liquid and gas-phase reactions, and significant effects of the nature of the support on the product selectivity were observed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Support and alkali promotion effects on the surface chemistry of nickel/silica catalysts
TL;DR: The characteristics of the support as well as the method of addition of alkali species were found to affect the adsorptive properties of a series of nickel and nickel-potassium catalysts supported on silica as mentioned in this paper.
