Journal ArticleDOI

Hypothalamic gene expression in ω-3 PUFA-deficient male rats before, and following, development of hypertension

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that dietary ω-3 DEF causes changes both in the expression of key genes involved in central blood pressure regulation and in blood pressure, which may indicate that hypertension resulting from ω -3 DEF is mediated by the central adrenergic system.
Journal ArticleDOI

Changes of omega‐3 fatty acid content and lipid composition in canned tuna during 12‐month storage

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of storage time on the concentration and lipid and fatty acid compositions of canned tuna in brine was studied and the results showed that the concentrations of total polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), total n-3 and n-6 PUFA were significantly stepwise decreased with increased storage time.
Journal ArticleDOI

Contribution of diet to gut microbiota and related host cardiometabolic health: diet-gut interaction in human health

TL;DR: It is shown that high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet was associated with unfavorable changes in gut microbiota, fecal microbial metabolites, and plasma proinflammatory factors in healthy young adults in a 6-month randomized controlled-feeding trial.
