Journal ArticleDOI
Comparison of imidacloprid, propiconazole, and nanopropiconazole effects on the development, behavior, and gene expression biomarkers of the Pacific oyster (Magallana gigas).
Eliška Kuchovská,Bénédicte Morin,Rocío López-Cabeza,Mathilde Barré,Corentin Gouffier,Lucie Bláhová,Jérôme Cachot,Luděk Bláha,Patrice Gonzalez +8 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that current pesticide concentrations detected in the Arcachon Bay are safe for the Pacific oyster early development, but they might have a small direct effect via altered gene expressions, whose longer-term impacts cannot be ruled out.
Journal ArticleDOI
Application of AOPs to assist regulatory assessment of chemical risks – Case studies, needs and recommendations
Lola Bajard,Ondrej Adamovsky,Karine Audouze,Kirsten A. Baken,Robert Barouki,Joost B. Beltman,Anna Beronius,Eva Cecilie Bonefeld-Jørgensen,German Cano-Sancho,Milo L. de Baat,Filippo Di Tillio,M.F. Stierum,Shihori Tanabe,Knut Erik Tollefsen,Annick D. van den Brand,Carolina Vogs,Maria Wielsøe,Clemens Wittwehr,Luděk Bláha +34 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the Adverse Outcome Pathway (AOP) framework constitutes an important tool to address these needs but, despite a significant increase in knowledge and awareness, the use of AOPs in chemical RA remains limited.
Journal ArticleDOI
Scientific Validation of Human Neurosphere Assays for Developmental Neurotoxicity Evaluation
Katharina Koch,Kristina Bartmann,Julia Hartmann,Julia Kapr,Jördis Klose,Eliška Kuchovská,Melanie Pahl,K. Schlüppmann,Etta Zühr,Ellen Fritsche +9 more
TL;DR: This study scientifically validate the Neurosphere Assay, which is based on human primary neural progenitor cells (hNPCs) and an integral part of the DNT in vitro screening battery is well poised for DNT evaluation for regulatory purposes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pesticide mixture toxicity assessment through in situ and laboratory approaches using embryo-larval stages of the pacific oyster (Magallana gigas).
Eliška Kuchovská,Patrice Gonzalez,Lucie Bláhová,Mathilde Barré,Corentin Gouffier,Jérôme Cachot,Alicia Romero-Ramirez,Luděk Bláha,Bénédicte Morin +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of an environmentally relevant mixture of five common pesticides on the early life stages of the Pacific oyster (Magallana gigas) were evaluated with laboratory assays with artificial mixture and in situ transplantation.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: The European Three-Rs centres and platforms as mentioned in this paper are dedicated to the Replacement, Reduction and Refinement of animal use in experiments, which are the so-called three-Rs, and they are also invaluable for the wide dissemination of information and for promoting the implementation of the ThreeRs in general.
