Journal ArticleDOI
CD8+ tumour-infiltrating lymphocytes in relation to HPV status and clinical outcome in patients with head and neck cancer after postoperative chemoradiotherapy: A multicentre study of the German cancer consortium radiation oncology group (DKTK-ROG)
Panagiotis Balermpas,Panagiotis Balermpas,Franz Rödel,Franz Rödel,Claus Rödel,Claus Rödel,Mechthild Krause,Annett Linge,Annett Linge,Fabian Lohaus,Fabian Lohaus,Michael Baumann,Inge Tinhofer,Inge Tinhofer,Volker Budach,Volker Budach,Eleni Gkika,Eleni Gkika,Martin Stuschke,Martin Stuschke,Melanie Avlar,Melanie Avlar,Anca Lidia Grosu,Anca Lidia Grosu,Amir Abdollahi,Jürgen Debus,Christine Bayer,Stefan Stangl,Claus Belka,Claus Belka,Steffi Pigorsch,Steffi Pigorsch,Gabriele Multhoff,Gabriele Multhoff,Stephanie E. Combs,Stephanie E. Combs,David Mönnich,David Mönnich,Daniel Zips,Daniel Zips,Emmanouil Fokas,Emmanouil Fokas +41 more
TL;DR: It is indicated that CD8‐positive TILs have antitumour activity and could be used for treatment stratification and its role in the immune response in SCCHN patients after adjuvant chemoradiotherapy is warranted and will be performed in the prospective DKTK‐ROG study.
Journal ArticleDOI
A comparative study of machine learning methods for time-to-event survival data for radiomics risk modelling.
Stefan Leger,Stefan Leger,Alex Zwanenburg,K. Pilz,Fabian Lohaus,Annett Linge,Klaus Zöphel,Klaus Zöphel,Jörg Kotzerke,Jörg Kotzerke,Andreas Schreiber,Inge Tinhofer,Inge Tinhofer,Volker Budach,Volker Budach,Ali Sak,Ali Sak,Martin Stuschke,Martin Stuschke,Panagiotis Balermpas,Panagiotis Balermpas,Claus Rödel,Claus Rödel,Ute Ganswindt,Ute Ganswindt,Claus Belka,Steffi Pigorsch,Steffi Pigorsch,Stephanie E. Combs,Stephanie E. Combs,David Mönnich,David Mönnich,Daniel Zips,Daniel Zips,Mechthild Krause,Michael Baumann,Esther G.C. Troost,Steffen Löck,Steffen Löck,Steffen Löck,Christian Richter +40 more
TL;DR: A subset of algorithms are identified which should be considered in future radiomics studies to develop stable and clinically relevant predictive models for time-to-event endpoints.
Journal ArticleDOI
Stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) for medically inoperable lung metastases-A pooled analysis of the German working group "stereotactic radiotherapy".
Juliane Rieber,Jan Streblow,Lorenz Uhlmann,Michael Flentje,Marciana Nona Duma,Iris Ernst,Oliver Blanck,Andrea Wittig,Judit Boda-Heggemann,Robert Krempien,Fabian Lohaus,N. D. Klass,Michael J. Wendt,Guido Hildebrandt,Nicolaus Andratschke,Florian Sterzing,Matthias Guckenberger,Matthias Guckenberger +26 more
TL;DR: SBRT for medically inoperable patients with pulmonary metastases achieved excellent local control and promising overall survival and important prognostic factors were identified for selecting patients who might benefit most from this therapy approach.
Journal ArticleDOI
HPV16 DNA status is a strong prognosticator of loco-regional control after postoperative radiochemotherapy of locally advanced oropharyngeal carcinoma: Results from a multicentre explorative study of the German Cancer Consortium Radiation Oncology Group (DKTK-ROG)
Fabian Lohaus,Fabian Lohaus,Annett Linge,Annett Linge,Inge Tinhofer,Inge Tinhofer,Volker Budach,Volker Budach,Eleni Gkika,Eleni Gkika,Martin Stuschke,Martin Stuschke,Panagiotis Balermpas,Claus Rödel,Claus Rödel,Melanie Avlar,Melanie Avlar,Anca-Ligia Grosu,Anca-Ligia Grosu,Amir Abdollahi,Jürgen Debus,Christine Bayer,Claus Belka,Claus Belka,Steffi Pigorsch,Steffi Pigorsch,Stephanie E. TL;DR: HPV16 DNA status appears to be a strong prognosticator of loco-regional tumour control after postoperative cisplatin-based radiochemotherapy of locally advanced oropharyngeal carcinoma and is now being explored in a prospective validation trial.
Journal ArticleDOI
HPV status, cancer stem cell marker expression, hypoxia gene signatures and tumour volume identify good prognosis subgroups in patients with HNSCC after primary radiochemotherapy: A multicentre retrospective study of the German Cancer Consortium Radiation Oncology Group (DKTK-ROG)
Annett Linge,Fabian Lohaus,Steffen Löck,A. Nowak,Volker Gudziol,Chiara Valentini,Chiara Valentini,Cläre von Neubeck,Cläre von Neubeck,Martin Jutz,Inge Tinhofer,Inge Tinhofer,Volker Budach,Volker Budach,Ali Sak,Ali Sak,Martin Stuschke,Martin Stuschke,Panagiotis Balermpas,Panagiotis Balermpas,Claus Rödel,Claus Rödel,Anca-Ligia Grosu,Anca-Ligia Grosu,Amir Abdollahi,Jürgen Debus,Ute Ganswindt,Ute Ganswindt,Claus Belka,Steffi Pigorsch,Steffi Pigorsch,Stephanie E. Thames,Anna Dubrovska,Anna Dubrovska,Jan Alsner,Jens Overgaard,Mechthild Krause,Michael Baumann +47 more
TL;DR: Tumour volume, HPV status, CSC marker expression and hypoxia gene signatures are potential prognostic biomarkers for patients with locally advanced HNSCC, who were treated by primary RCTx and support that the individual tumour volumes should generally be included in biomarker studies and that panels of biomarkers are superior to individual parameters.
