Corrigendum: Clinical and Research Activities at the CATANA Facility of INFN-LNS: From the Conventional Hadrontherapy to the Laser-Driven Approach
G.A.P. Cirrone,Giacomo Cuttone,Luigi Raffaele,Vincenzo Salamone,Teresio Avitabile,Giuseppe Privitera,Corrado Spatola,A.G. Amico,Giuseppina Larosa,R. Leanza,Daniele Margarone,G. Milluzzo,Valeria I Patti,Giada Petringa,Francesco Romano,Francesco Romano,Andrea Russo,A. D. Russo,Maria Gabriella Sabini,Francesco Schillaci,Valentina Scuderi,L. M. Valastro +21 more
TL;DR: This research presents a novel probabilistic procedure called “spot-spot analysis” that allows for real-time analysis of the response of the immune system to natural catastrophes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Characterization of CVD diamond films as radiation detectors for dosimetric applications
Mara Bruzzi,Marta Bucciolini,G.A.P. Cirrone,Giacomo Cuttone,A. Guasti,S. Mazzocchi,S. Pirollo,Maria Gabriella Sabini,Silvio Sciortino +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the possibility of using CVD diamond films as dosimeters in radiotherapy applications has been tested in both off-line and on-line configurations, and the thermoluminescent and thermally stimulated current responses after 20 MeV electron and 22 MeV proton irradiation have been studied as a function of the dose up to 10 Gy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Thermoluminescence response of sodalime glass irradiated with proton and neutron beams
Maurizio Marrale,Anna Longo,Antonio Bartolotta,S. Basile,Maria Cristina D'Oca,Elio Angelo Tomarchio,G.A.P. Cirrone,F. Di Rosa,Fabrizio Romano,Giacomo Cuttone,Maria Brai +10 more
TL;DR: The thermoluminescence response of samples exposed to protons has been found to be linear in the dose range between 2 and 20 Gy and the lowest detectable dose for this radiation beam is estimated to be smaller than than 1 Gy.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Proton-Boron Reaction Increases the Radiobiological Effectiveness of Clinical Low- and High-Energy Proton Beams: Novel Experimental Evidence and Perspectives
Pavel Bláha,Chiara Feoli,Stefano Agosteo,Marco Calvaruso,Francesco Paolo Cammarata,Roberto Catalano,Mario Ciocca,G.A.P. Cirrone,V. Conte,Giacomo Cuttone,Angelica Facoetti,Giusi Irma Forte,Lorenzo Giuffrida,Giuseppe Magro,Daniele Margarone,Luigi Minafra,G. Petringa,Gaia Pucci,Valerio Ricciardi,Enrico Rosa,Giorgio Ivan Russo,Lorenzo Manti +21 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reported new in-vitro data obtained at the 62-MeV ocular melanoma-dedicated proton beamline of the INFN-Laboratori Nazionali del Sud (LNS), Catania, Italy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ottanelli,Gabriele Pasquali,Mario Pillon,S. M. R. Puglia,Antonello Santangelo,Antonio Trifiro,Salvatore Tudisco +29 more
TL;DR: In this article, a large volume 4H Silicon Carbide (SiC) detector was used at the ENEA-Frascati Neutron Generator facility by using 14.1 MeV neutrons.
