Critical factors in the development of tumor-targeted anti-inflammatory nanomedicines

TL;DR: The specific combination of tumor model, drug delivery system and drug potency are crucial factors that should be considered in the development and evaluation of new nanomedicines for cancer-inflammation therapy, especially when translating from preclinical models.
Journal Article

Improved imaging of infections by avidin-induced clearance of 99mTc-biotin-PEG liposomes.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe the preparation and optimization of biotin-polyethyleneglycol (PEG) liposomes and their application in experimental infection models to improve the scintigraphic imaging of infection and inflammation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Liposome-mediated peptide loading of MHC-DR molecules in vivo.

TL;DR: The results show that Mamu‐DR3 molecules on PBMC can be efficiently loaded in vivo with the above‐mentioned peptides when they are intravenously injected encapsulated in liposomes, but not in the free form.
Journal ArticleDOI

Multimodal and multiscale optical imaging of nanomedicine delivery across the blood-brain barrier upon sonopermeation

TL;DR: Investigation of the impact of DDS size on brain accumulation, extravasation and penetration across the blood-brain barrier showed that sonopermeation promoted the accumulation of nanocarriers in mouse brains, and that 10 nm-sized polymeric DDS accumulated more strongly and penetrated deeper into the brain than 100 nm- sized liposomes.
