Tibial hemimelia and tetralogy of Fallot associated with first trimester exposure to amantadine
TL;DR: The outcome of a pregnancy during which the mother was treated with amantadine in the first trimester is reported and the infant, born at 29 weeks gestation, has tetralogy of Fallot and tibial hemimelia.

TL;DR: The results suggest that parents abusing stimulants are at risk of high alcohol exposure, which put their unborn children at risk for FASD.
Journal ArticleDOI
PKA phosphorylation underlies functional recruitment of sarcolemmal SK2 channels in ventricular myocytes from hypertrophic hearts
Shanna Hamilton,Shanna Hamilton,Iuliia Polina,Iuliia Polina,Radmila Terentyeva,Radmila Terentyeva,Peter Bronk,Tae Yun Kim,Karim Roder,Richard T. Clements,Richard T. Clements,Gideon Koren,Bum-Rak Choi,Dmitry Terentyev,Dmitry Terentyev +14 more
TL;DR: Using a rat model of cardiac hypertrophy induced by thoracic aortic banding, it is found that functional upregulation of SK2 channels in hypertrophic rat ventricular cardiomyocytes is driven by protein kinase A (PKA) phosphorylation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Diurnal variation in the pharmacokinetics and myelotoxicity of mercaptopurine in children with acute lymphocytic leukemia.
Gideon Koren,Anne-Marie R Langevin,Nancy F. Olivieri,Ester Giesbrecht,Alvin Zipursky,Mark T. Greenberg +5 more
TL;DR: It is concluded that the diurnal variations of mercaptopurine disposition result in clinically important myelotoxicity of the drug.
