Hereditary cerebellar atrophy (Holmes type) with optic atrophy: a clinico-pathological study of four generations in a family.
TL;DR: A family with a dominantly inherited progressive cerebellar ataxia was described in this paper, where four members of successive generations were affected, and neuropathological examination of one family member classified this disorder as hereditary cerebelar atrophy of Holmes type.
Journal ArticleDOI
Phenotypic variation in Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, May 31 and June 1, 1996, Vienna, Austria.
TL;DR: An international meeting on phenotypic variation in CJD was an important and timely event and questions of paramount importance are whether V-CJD is unique to the UK and France and whether atypical cases of human transmissible spongiform encephalopathies were presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Correction: Fatal Prion Disease in a Mouse Model of Genetic E200K Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease.
Yael Friedman-Levi,Zeev Meiner,Tamar Canello,Kati Frid,Gabor G. Kovacs,Herbert Budka,Dana Avrahami,Ruth Gabizon +7 more
TL;DR: This research presents a novel probabilistic procedure that allows for direct measurement of the response of the immune system to earthquake-triggered landsliding.
Journal Article
Echigo-1: a panencephalopathic strain of creutzfeldt-jakob disease. I. neuropathological and immunohistochemical studies.
TL;DR: An unusually intensive accumulation of prion protein (PrP) on neuronal membranes in hamsters infected with the Echigo-1 panencephalopathic strain of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease is demonstrated.
