TL;DR: The European XFEL as discussed by the authors is a hard X-ray free-electron laser (FEL) based on a highelectron-energy superconducting linear accelerator, which allows for the acceleration of many electron bunches within one radio-frequency pulse of the accelerating voltage and, in turn, for the generation of a large number of hard Xray pulses.

A Wireless Charging System Applying Phase-Shift and Amplitude Control to Maximize Efficiency and Extractable Power
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a method to maximize the efficiency and increase the amount of extractable power of a WPT system operating in non-resonant operation, which is based on actively modifying the equivalent secondary-side load impedance by controlling the phase shift of the active rectifier and its output voltage level.
