The Gaia-ESO Public Spectroscopic Survey

Gerry Gilmore, +274 more
- 01 Mar 2012 -
TL;DR: The Gaia-ESO Public Spectroscopic Survey has begun and will obtain high quality spectroscopy of some 100000 Milky Way stars, in the field and in open clusters, down to magnitude 19, systematically.
Journal ArticleDOI

Chemical abundances of 1111 FGK stars from the HARPS GTO planet search program - Galactic stellar populations and planets

TL;DR: In this article, a uniform and detailed analysis of 12 refractory elements (Na, Mg, Al, Si, Ca, Ti, Cr, Ni, Co, Sc, Mn, and V) was performed for a sample of 1111 FGK dwarf stars from the HARPS GTO planet search program.
Journal ArticleDOI

A new implementation of the infrared flux method using the 2MASS catalogue

TL;DR: In this article, a new implementation of the infrared flux method (IRFM) using the 2MASS catalogue is presented, and the authors compare the theoretical quantities in the 2-MASS JHK s filters by integrating theoretical fluxes computed from ATLAS models, and compare them directly with the observed 2-mASS JHK s magnitudes.
