Band alignment of two-dimensional semiconductors for designing heterostructures with momentum space matching

TL;DR: In this article, a comprehensive study of the band alignments of two-dimensional (2D) semiconducting materials and highlight the possibilities of forming momentum-matched type I, II, and III heterostructures was presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

MoTe2 Lateral Homojunction Field-Effect Transistors Fabricated using Flux-Controlled Phase Engineering.

TL;DR: The structural and electrical properties of in-situ-grown lateral 2H/1T' MoTe2 homojunctions grown using flux-controlled phase engineering are investigated using atomic-resolution plan-view and cross-sectional transmission electron microscopy analyses, and it is shown that the round regions of near-single-crystalline 2H-MoTe2 grow out of a poly Crystalline 1T'-MoTe 2 matrix.
Journal ArticleDOI

Controlled p-type substitutional doping in large-area monolayer WSe2 crystals grown by chemical vapor deposition.

TL;DR: A systematic single-step process to optimize crystal size by variation of multiple growth parameters resulting in hexagonal single crystals up to 165 μm wide is reported, showing that these large single crystals can be controllably in situ doped with the acceptor Niobium (Nb).
Journal ArticleDOI

Anisotropy in layered half-metallic Heusler alloy superlattices

TL;DR: In this paper, the Slater-Pauling rule is not satisfied and the resulting superlattice is often half-metallic with gaps comparable to or larger than those of its constituents.
