Finite-Size Effects in O and CO Adsorption for the Late Transition Metals
Andrew A. Peterson,Lars C. Grabow,Thomas P. Brennan,Bonggeun Shong,Chin Chun Ooi,Di Wu,Christina W. Li,Amit Kushwaha,Andrew J. Medford,Felix Mbuga,Lin Li,Jens K. Nørskov,Jens K. Nørskov +12 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used density functional theory to study adsorption of representative adsorbates, CO and O, on the late transition metals Co, Ni, Cu, Ir, Pd, Ag, Rh, Pt and Au.
Journal ArticleDOI
A multifaceted approach to hydrogen storage
Andrew James Churchard,Ewa M. Banach,Andreas Borgschulte,Riccarda Caputo,Riccarda Caputo,Jian-Cheng Chen,David C. Clary,Karol J. Fijalkowski,Hans Geerlings,Hans Geerlings,Radostina V. Genova,Wojciech Grochala,Tomasz Jaroń,Juan Carlos Juanes-Marcos,Bengt Herbert Kasemo,Geert-Jan Kroes,Ivan Ljubić,Nicola Naujoks,Jens K. Nørskov,Jens K. Nørskov,Roar A. Olsen,Flavio Pendolino,Arndt Remhof,Loránd Románszki,Adem Tekin,Adem Tekin,Tejs Vegge,Michael Zäch,Andreas Züttel +28 more
TL;DR: An intentionally multi-faceted selection of the main approaches to storing hydrogen is provided, moving on to detailed reviews of recent research in the solid chemical storage of hydrogen, to provide an entry point for the interested reader on these diverse topics.
Journal ArticleDOI
Scaling-Relation-Based Analysis of Bifunctional Catalysis: The Case for Homogeneous Bimetallic Alloys
Mie Andersen,Andrew J. Medford,Andrew J. Medford,Jens K. Nørskov,Jens K. Nørskov,Karsten Reuter,Karsten Reuter,Karsten Reuter +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the implications of scaling relations on the possibilities for bifunctional gains at homogeneous bimetallic alloy catalysts were analyzed, and it was shown that site-coupling reaction steps can provide bifunctionsal gains that allow for a bimetal catalyst composed of two individually poor catalyst materials to approach the activity of the optimal monomaterial catalyst.
Journal ArticleDOI
Diffusion of N adatoms on the Fe(100) surface
M.Ø. Pedersen,Lars Österlund,Jens Jørgen Mortensen,Manos Mavrikakis,Lars Bruno Hansen,Ivan Stensgaard,Erik Lægsgaard,Jens K. Nørskov,Flemming Besenbacher +8 more
TL;DR: Based on experimentally determined values of the diffusion barriers and adsorbate-adsorbate interactions, the potential energy surface experienced by a N adatom is determined.
Journal ArticleDOI
Rapid flame doping of Co to WS2 for efficient hydrogen evolution
Xinjian Shi,Meredith Fields,Joonsuk Park,Joshua M. McEnaney,Hongping Yan,Hongping Yan,Yirui Zhang,Charlie Tsai,Thomas F. Jaramillo,Robert Sinclair,Jens K. Nørskov,Xiaolin Zheng +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of doping WS2/W18O49 nanotubes with a tunable amount of Co was investigated, and it was shown that the WS2 activity of WS2 changes non-monotonically with the concentration of Co due to local changes in the binding energy of H and the formation energy of S-vacancies.
