Effects of urban air pollution on emergency room admissions for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
TL;DR: The consistency of these results with other recent toxicologic and epidemiologic observations suggest that current air pollution standards do not totally protect public health with a margin of safety in specific places.

TL;DR: The MACVIA-ARIA Sentinel NetworK for allergic rhinitis (MASK-rhinitis) as discussed by the authors is a simple system centred around the patient which was devised to fill many of these gaps using Information and Communications Technology (ICT) tools and a clinical decision support system (CDSS) based on the most widely used guideline in allergy and its asthma comorbidity (ARIA 2015 revision).

TL;DR: This IC trial improved disease knowledge, and treatment adherence, after 1 year of intervention, suggesting that these factors may play a role in the prevention of severe COPD exacerbations triggering hospital admissions.
