Assessing the accuracy of globe thermometer method in predicting outdoor mean radiant temperature under Malaysia tropical microclimate
TL;DR: In this paper, the indoor globe thermometer method was used to estimate mean radiant temperature (Tmrt) under Malaysia tropical microclimate, and the results revealed that the estimated Tmrt showed a relatively large amount of scattering caused by rapid changes in radiation and wind speed.
Advances in solar assisted drying systems for marine and agricultural products
TL;DR: In this article, the authors developed four advanced solar assisted drying system suitable fordrying of various marine and agricultural products namely (a) the solar assisted dehumidification system with fins (b) solar assisted chemical heatpump system and (c) solar aided heat pump with photovoltaic thermal collectors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Performance evaluation of standalone double axis solar tracking system with maximum light detection MLD for telecommunication towers in Malaysia
TL;DR: Based on the results obtained, the use of HIT solar modules with MLD dual axis solar tracking system has high performance effective under Malaysian weather.
Journal ArticleDOI
Design aspects of small-scale photovoltaic brackish water reverse osmosis (PV-BWRO) system
P. Poovanaesvaran,M. A. Alghoul,Kamaruzzaman Sopian,Nowshad Amin,M. I. Fadhel,Muhammad Yahya +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a small scale photovoltaic powered brackish water reverse osmosis system (PV-BWRO) requires feed water characterization, proper pre-treatment setup, module design configuration and reject water management.

Effect of packing factor on the performance of PV/T water heater
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of packing factor (the fraction of absorber plate area covered by the solar cells) on the long-term performance of photovoltaic/thermal hot water system under the meteorological conditions of Malaysia has been simulated.
