Journal ArticleDOI

Origin of Increased Reactivity in Rhenium-Mediated Cycloadditions of Tetrazines.

TL;DR: In this article, a more favorable interaction energy caused by stronger orbital interactions was found to be the origin of the increased reactivity of tetrazines in [4 + 2] cycloadditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mechanisms and Dynamics of Synthetic and Biosynthetic Formation of Delitschiapyrones: Solvent Control of Ambimodal Periselectivity.

TL;DR: The mechanism and dynamics for the formation of the delitschiapyrone family of natural products are studied by density functional theory (DFT) calculations and quasiclassical molecular dynamics simulations with DFT and xTB.
Journal ArticleDOI

Intramolecular C–H Activation Reactions of Ru(NHC) Complexes Combined with H2 Transfer to Alkenes: A Theoretical Elucidation of Mechanisms and Effects of Ligands on Reactivities

TL;DR: In this paper, the reaction of ruthenium dihydride complex [Ru(H)2(NHC)(CO)(PPh3)2] with ethylene occurs via dissociative ligand exchange, followed by hydride migration and reductive elimination to form a Ru(0) intermediate.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of azulene from 6-acyloxyfulvenes

TL;DR: The 6-acetoxy, tosyloxy, and p-nitrobenzoyloxy derivatives of fulvene undergo cycloadditions with 1-diethylaminobutadiene to give azulene in 12, 14, and 68% yield, respectively as mentioned in this paper.
