Interphase in plasma-deposited silicon nitride optical films on polycarbonate: in situ ellipsometric characterization

TL;DR: In this paper, an optical model based on real-time in situ measurements is proposed to describe the interphase refractive index profile, which is fully supported by complementary crosssectional transmission-electron-microscopy observations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Conformal Multilayer Photocatalytic Thin Films on Fine Particles by Atmospheric Pressure Fluidized Bed Chemical Vapor Deposition

TL;DR: In this paper, a multilayer thin film of titania and silica was applied on the surface of spherical soda lime glass (SLG) particles using fluidized bed chemical vapor deposition at atmospheric pressure, which revealed a pinhole-free and uniform multilayers of anatase TiO2 and amorphous SiO2 with a thickness of ∼110 and 20 nm.
Journal ArticleDOI

Characterization of carburized tantalum layers prepared in inductive RF plasma

TL;DR: In this paper, the carburization of Tantalum surfaces was carried out in order to improve their mechanical properties and corrosion resistance, and the properties were measured by microindentation and microscratch techniques, while the corrosion resistance was examined by impedance analysis.
