Journal ArticleDOI
Biosolids and heavy metals in soils
TL;DR: In this article, the GEOCHEM-PC program was used to study heavy metal behavior in solution and the effect of changes in the conditions, such as pH and ionic strength and the application of organic and inorganic ligands caused by soil fertilization.
Journal ArticleDOI
Heavy metal sequential extraction methods—A modification for tropical soils
TL;DR: In this article, the authors developed a sequential fractionation procedure for Cu and Zn in tropical soils and performed on surface (0-20 cm) samples of ten representative soils of Sao Paulo State, Brazil.
Journal ArticleDOI
Characterization of soil organic carbon pools by acid hydrolysis
TL;DR: In this paper, acid hydrolysis treatment with HCl for estimating the labile pools of soil organic carbon (SOC) was studied using acidhydrolysismethodswith1Mand6MHClandhot-water-extractionintwocoastal plain soils collected from different landscape positions.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: It is shown that combining laboratory measurements with environmental data greatly improves predictions of field Nmin at a global scale and that potential soil net Nmin data could be parameterised with soil and climate data to better predict realised Nmin.
