Libutti,Henry F. Raymond,Abraham Pinter,Maria Laura Gennaro +34 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed an ELISA protocol based on antibody binding to the Receptor Binding Domain (RBD) of the S1 subunit of the viral Spike protein expressed as a novel fusion protein, which detects antibody responses to SARS-CoV-2 infection and vaccination.
Journal ArticleDOI
Alterations of the fecal microbiota in relation to acute COVID-19 infection and recovery
Yue S. Yin,Carlos D. Minacapelli,Veenat Parmar,C. Catalano,Abhishek Bhurwal,Kapil Gupta,Vinod K. Rustgi,Martin J. Blaser +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors characterized the intestinal microbiome of patients with active SARS-CoV-2 infection in comparison to recovered patients and uninfected healthy controls and found that COVID-19-positive patients exhibited depletion of Bacteroidaceae, Ruminococcaceae, and Lachnospiraceae, as well as decreased relative abundances of the genera Faecalibacterium, Adlercreutzia , and Eubacterium brachy group.

C-shaped probe
TL;DR: In this article, a nucleic acid probe for identification of target nucleic acids is presented, including a linker structure including a 5′ end and a 3′ end, where the 5′ marker mechanism is conjugated to the 5' end of the linker.
Journal ArticleDOI
Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome possibly arthropod-borne.
TL;DR: Moses and Moses, having surveyed lifestyles and medical practices in rural Haiti, were not able to implicate a mode of transmission or predisposition to development of HIV/AIDS in the region.

dapE GENE OF HELICOBACTER PYLORI AND dapE- MUTANT STRAINS OF $i(HELICOBACTER PYLORI)
Martin J. Blaser,Mikio Karita +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the dapE gene of Helicobacter pylori and H.pylori mutants and methods of using the mutants to express foreign genes and immunize against foreign agents are described.
