Journal ArticleDOI
Single-crystal, large-area, fold-free monolayer graphene.
Meihui Wang,Ming Huang,Da Luo,Yunqing Li,Myeonggi Choe,Won Kyung Seong,Minhyeok Kim,Sunghwan Jin,Mengran Wang,Shahana Chatterjee,Youngwoo Kwon,Zonghoon Lee,Rodney S. Ruoff +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the wrinkling/folding process for graphene films grown from an ethylene precursor on single-crystal Cu-Ni(111) foils is investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Adlayer-Free Large-Area Single Crystal Graphene Grown on a Cu(111) Foil.
Da Luo,Meihui Wang,Yunqing Li,Changsik Kim,Ka Man Yu,Yohan Kim,Huijun Han,Mandakini Biswal,Ming Huang,Youngwoo Kwon,Min Goo,Dulce C. Camacho-Mojica,Haofei Shi,Won Jong Yoo,Michael S. Altman,Hyung-Joon Shin,Rodney S. Ruoff +16 more
TL;DR: It is found that the amount of subsurface carbon in Cu foils directly correlates with the extent of adlayer growth, and high-performance field-effect transistors are readily fabricated in the large regions between adjacent parallel folds in the adlayer-free single crystal graphene film.
Journal ArticleDOI
Do-It-Yourself Transfer of Large-Area Graphene Using an Office Laminator and Water
Abhay Shivayogimath,Patrick Rebsdorf Whelan,David M. A. Mackenzie,Birong Luo,Deping Huang,Da Luo,Meihui Wang,Lauge Gammelgaard,Haofei Shi,Rodney S. Ruoff,Peter Bøggild,Timothy J. Booth +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, a simple method for transferring large areas (up to A4-size sheets) of CVD graphene from copper foils onto a target substrate using a commercially available polyvinyl alcohol polymer was presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Epitaxial single-crystal hexagonal boron nitride multilayers on Ni (111)
Kyung Yeol Ma,Leining Zhang,Sung Gook Jin,Yan Wang,Seong In Yoon,Hyun Sick Hwang,Juseung Oh,Darryl Jeong,Meihui Wang,Shahana Chatterjee,Gwan Su Kim,A-Rang Jang,Jieun Yang,Sunmin Ryu,Hu Young Jeong,Rodney S. Ruoff,Manish Chhowalla,Feng Ding,Hyeon Suk Shin +18 more
Journal ArticleDOI
A general approach to composites containing nonmetallic fillers and liquid gallium
Chunhui Wang,Yan Gong,Benjamin V. Cunning,Seunghwan Lee,Quan Le,Shalik Ram Joshi,Onur Buyukcakir,Hanyang Zhang,Won Kyung Seong,Ming Huang,Meihui Wang,Jaeseon Lee,Gun-Ho Kim,Rodney S. Ruoff +13 more
TL;DR: In this article, a method to make liquid metal composites by vigorously mixing gallium (Ga) with non-metallic particles of graphene oxide (G-O), graphite, diamond, and silicon carbide that display either paste or putty-like behavior depending on the volume fraction is described.
