Journal ArticleDOI
Tumor protein 53-induced nuclear protein 1 expression is repressed by miR-155, and its restoration inhibits pancreatic tumor development.
Meritxell Gironella,Mylène Seux,Min-Jue Xie,Carla E. Cano,Richard Tomasini,Julien Gommeaux,Stéphane Garcia,Jonathan A. Nowak,Man Lung Yeung,Kuan-Teh Jeang,Amandine Chaix,Ladan Fazli,Yoshiharu Motoo,Qing Wang,Palma Rocchi,Antonio Russo,Martin E. Gleave,Jean-Charles Dagorn,Juan L. Iovanna,Alice Carrier,Marie-Josèphe Pébusque,Nelson Dusetti +21 more
TL;DR: It is shown by immunohistochemical analysis that TP53INP1 expression is dramatically reduced in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) and this decrease occurs early during pancreatic cancer development and a previously unknown miR-155 target presenting anti-tumoral activity is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Strengthened glycolysis under hypoxia supports tumor symbiosis and hexosamine biosynthesis in pancreatic adenocarcinoma
Fabienne Guillaumond,Julie Leca,Orianne Olivares,Marie Noelle Lavaut,Nicolas Vidal,Patrice Berthezene,Nelson Dusetti,Celine Loncle,Ezequiel Calvo,Olivier Turrini,Juan L. Iovanna,Richard Tomasini,Sophie Vasseur +12 more
TL;DR: It is reported that hypoxia increases transcription of hexosamine biosynthetic pathway genes as well as levels of O-glycosylated proteins and that O-linked N-acetylglucosaminylation of proteins is a process required for hypoxic pancreatic cancer cell survival.
Journal ArticleDOI
Molecular cloning, sequencing and expression of the mRNA encoding human Cdx1 and Cdx2 homeobox. Down-regulation of Cdx1 and Cdx2 mRNA expression during colorectal carcinogenesis.
Gustavo V. Mallo,Hocine Rechreche,Jean-Marc Frigerio,Dominique Rocha,Alain Zweibaum,Michel Lacasa,Bertrand Jordan,Nelson Dusetti,Jean-Charles Dagorn,Juan L. Iovanna +9 more
TL;DR: It was concluded that decrease in human Cdx1 and/or Cdx2 expression is associated with colorectal tumorigenesis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Roles for MicroRNAs, miR-93 and miR-130b, and Tumor Protein 53–Induced Nuclear Protein 1 Tumor Suppressor in Cell Growth Dysregulation by Human T-Cell Lymphotrophic Virus 1
Man Lung Yeung,Jun-ichirou Yasunaga,Jun-ichirou Yasunaga,Yamina Bennasser,Nelson Dusetti,David J. Harris,Nafees Ahmad,Masao Matsuoka,Kuan-Teh Jeang +8 more
TL;DR: A miR-93/miR-130b-TP53INP1 axis that affects the proliferation and survival of HTLV-1-infected/transformed cells is implicate.
Journal ArticleDOI
GATA6 regulates EMT and tumour dissemination, and is a marker of response to adjuvant chemotherapy in pancreatic cancer
Paola Martinelli,Enrique Carrillo-de Santa Pau,Trevor Cox,Bruno Sainz,Nelson Dusetti,William Greenhalf,Lorenzo Rinaldi,Eithne Costello,Paula Ghaneh,Núria Malats,Markus W. Büchler,Marina Pajic,Andrew V. Biankin,Juan L. Iovanna,John P. Neoptolemos,Francisco X. Real +15 more
TL;DR: The role of GATA factors in cancer has gained increasing attention recently, but the function of Gata6 in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is controversial.
