Thorsett,Ezequiel Treister,C. Megan Urry +84 more
TL;DR: The Nuclear Spectroscopic Telescope Array (NuSTAR) as discussed by the authors is the first focusing high-energy X-ray telescope in orbit, which operates in the band from 3 to 79 keV.
Journal ArticleDOI
NuSTAR DISCOVERY OF A 3.76 s TRANSIENT MAGNETAR NEAR SAGITTARIUS A
Kaya Mori,Eric V. Gotthelf,Shuo Zhang,Hongjun An,Frederick K. Baganoff,Nicolas M. Barrière,Andrei M. Beloborodov,Steven E. Boggs,Finn Erland Christensen,William W. Craig,Francois Dufour,Brian W. TL;DR: In this article, the authors reported the discovery of 3.76 s pulsations from a new burst source near Sgr A^* observed by the NuSTAR observatory, which is known as SGR J1745-29.
Journal ArticleDOI
NuSTAR detection of high-energy X-ray emission and rapid variability from Sagittarius A * flares
Nicolas M. Barrière,John A. Tomsick,Frederick K. Baganoff,Steven E. Boggs,Finn E. Christensen,William W. Craig,William W. Craig,Jason Dexter,Brian W. Grefenstette,Charles J. Hailey,Fiona A. Harrison,Kristin K. Madsen,Kaya Mori,Daniel Stern,William W. Zhang,Shuo Zhang,Andreas Zoglauer +16 more
TL;DR: In this article, the power-law spectrum of Sagittarius A* X-ray flares is shown to extend to high energy, with no evidence for a cutoff, and the photon index of the absorbed power law fits are in agreement with past observations.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented the first sub-arcminute images of the Galactic Center above 10 keV, obtained with NuSTAR, and detected four non-thermal X-ray filaments, extending the detection of their power-law spectra with Γ ~ 1.3-2.3 up to ~50 keV.
