Adhesive bonding of composites

TL;DR: Adhesive bonding is increasingly being used to assemble composite components and is a complementary technology to the manufacture of the composites themselves and can be easily integrated into the production path as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Experimental evaluation of the main parameters influencing friction between polyamide fibers and influence of friction on the abrasion resistance

TL;DR: In this article , a modified, upscaled version of the ASTM standard yarn-on-yarn abrasion test device, which allows measurement of the friction coefficient between polyamide rope yarns, is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Correction: Structure and functional analysis of a bacterial adhesin sugar-binding domain.

TL;DR: This research presents a novel probabilistic procedure that allows for direct measurement of the response of the immune system to earthquake-triggered landsliding.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Prediction of mechanical property loss in polyamide during immersion in sea water

TL;DR: In this paper, a modeling study of the water absorption in polyamide 6 based on the free volume theory is presented, coupled with a description of the stress yield changes with Tg, it is possible to predict the long term behavior of thick samples when immersed in sea water.
