TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a VLBI capability to the SKA arrays, which can greatly broaden the science of SKA, and is feasible within the current specifications, and can be implemented by providing phased-array outputs for SKA1-MID and SKA 1-SUR and using these extremely sensitive stations with other radio telescopes.
Journal ArticleDOI
A search for 4750- and 4765-mhz oh masers in southern star forming regions
Richard Dodson,Simon Ellingsen +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the Australia Telescope Compact Array (ATCA) was used to make a sensitive (5σ≃ 100 mJy) search for maser emission from the 4765-MHz 2 Π 1 / 2 F = 1 → 0 transition of OH.
Journal ArticleDOI
Astronomical verification of a stabilized frequency reference transfer system for the Square Kilometer Array
David R. Gozzard,Sascha Schediwy,Richard Dodson,Maria Rioja,Mike Hill,Brett Lennon,Jock McFee,P. Mirtschin,Jamie Stevens,Keith Grainge +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present results of the astronomical verification of a stabilized frequency reference transfer system proposed for SKA-mid, where the dual-receiver architecture of the Australia Telescope Compact Array was exploited to subtract the phase noise of the sky signal from the data.
Journal ArticleDOI
CHILES VI: H I and H α observations for z < 0.1 galaxies; probing H I spin alignment with filaments in the cosmic web
J. Blue Bird,Julie D. Davis,N. Luber,J. H. van Gorkom,Eric M. Wilcots,Daniel J. Pisano,Daniel J. Pisano,Hansung B. Gim,Hansung B. Gim,Emmanuel Momjian,Ximena Fernández,Kelley M. Hess,Kelley M. TL;DR: In this paper, neutral hydrogen (H I and ionized hydrogen (AHA) observations of 10 galaxies out to a redshift of 0.1 were used to identify the large-scale structure in the nearby CHILES volume using DisPerSE with the spectroscopic catalogue from SDSS.
Journal ArticleDOI
A search for 4750- and 4765-MHz OH masers in Southern Star Forming Regions
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used the Australia Telescope Compact Array (ATCA) to make a sensitive search for maser emission from the 4765-MHz $^2\Pi_{1/2}$ F=1$\to$0 transition of OH.
