Membrane Distillation and Forward Osmosis: Advances in Membranes, Modules, and Applications

TL;DR: In this article, the authors reviewed research developments in Membrane distillation and forward osmosis (FO) at the Singapore MEMBRANE Technology Centre (SMTC) in order to find low-pressure and low-grade thermal energy, such as waste heat and solar, which yield low greenhouse gas emissions.

Membrane Distillation and Forward Osmosis: Advances in Membranes,

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed to use membrane distillation and forward osmosis (FO) for reuse and desalination applications in water desalinization, which are low pressure and well suited for using low-grade waste heat or solar energy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sevoflurane diminishes neurogenesis and promotes ferroptosis in embryonic prefrontal cortex via inhibiting nuclear factor-erythroid 2–related factor 2 expression

TL;DR: The results of the present study are the first to demonstrate that ferroptosis and the expression of Nrf2 are involved in sevoflurane-related neurotoxicity in embryonic brain, which provides new vision for consideration in anesthesia-associated neurological abnormalities.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fabrication and character of reproducible high quality steps and step-edge junctions on STO substrates

TL;DR: In this article, a reproducible procedure to fabricate high quality steps and step-edge junctions on a SrTiO3 (STO) substrate was presented, where the dynamic process of ion milling was simulated in theory.
