Antifibrotic effects of tanshinol in experimental hepatic fibrosis by targeting PI3K/AKT/mTOR/p70S6K1 signaling pathways.

TL;DR: This study demonstrates that tanshinol exerts antifibrotic effects through targeting multiple mechanisms correlated with PI3K/AKT/mTOR/p70S6K1 signaling pathways, and has the prospect of becoming a new treatment strategy for hepatic fibrosis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Pressure and temperature dependence of the gas-transport properties of dense poly[2,6-toluene-2,2-bis(3,4-dicarboxylphenyl)hexafluoropropane diimide] membranes

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the gas-transport properties of poly[2,6-toluene-2,2-bis(3,4-dicarboxylphenyl)hexafluoropropane diimide] (6FDA-2-6-DAT) membranes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of chlortetracycline, Cu and their combination on the performance and microbial community dynamics in swine manure anaerobic digestion.

TL;DR: Four kinds of microbes including bacteria and archaea were described in detail, and the effects of CTC, Cu and their combination mainly occurred at hydrolysis and acidification phases, where the addition of Cu alone changed the dynamics of archaeal community significantly.
Journal ArticleDOI

Incorporation of CoIII acetylacetonate and SNW-1 nanoparticles to tailor O2/N2 separation performance of mixed-matrix membrane

TL;DR: In this paper, mixed-matrix membranes containing a porous organic framework (SNW-1 nanoparticles) and a cobalt-based complex (Co(acac)3) were fabricated using the solution-casting technique for potential applications in O2/N2 separation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Unique roles of aminosilane in developing anti-fouling thin film composite (TFC) membranes for pressure retarded osmosis (PRO)

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors demonstrated the unique roles and the great potential of aminosilane in developing anti-fouling thin film composite (TFC) pressure retarded osmosis (PRO) membranes.
