Neferine Exerts Antioxidant and Anti-Inflammatory Effects on Carbon Tetrachloride-Induced Liver Fibrosis by Inhibiting the MAPK and NF-κB/IκBα Pathways.
TL;DR: In this paper, Neferine has been shown to act as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent in CCl4-induced liver fibrosis in rats, which may indicate a protective role for neferine.
Journal ArticleDOI
Performance enhancement of ultrafiltration membrane via simple deposition of polymer-based modifiers
TL;DR: In this article, a group of synthesized hydrophilic random copolymers and homopolymer were utilized to enhance PES UF membrane performance by a simple deposition of a thin layer.
Journal ArticleDOI
Osmotic processes for a sustainable 21st century — Guest editorial
Jeffrey R. McCutcheon,Rong Wang +1 more
TL;DR: Osmotic pressure has been considered a hindrance to membrane separations (i.e. reverse osmosis) as mentioned in this paper and has been harnessed for driving separations and, in proper configurations, can also be used to generate electricity.

Out-of-plane easy-axis in thin films of diluted magnetic semiconductor Ba1-xKx(Zn1-yMny)2As2
Rong Wang,ZhongXue Huang,Shuang Yu,Guoqiang Zhao,Deng Zheng,Changqing Jin,Quanjie Jia,Yu Chen,Tieying Yang,Xiaoming Jiang,Lixin Cao +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, single-phased, single-oriented thin films of Mn-doped ZnAs-based diluted magnetic semiconductor (DMS) Ba1-xKx(Zn1-yMny)2As2 (x = 0.03, 0.08; y= 0.15) have been deposited on Si, SrTiO3, LaAlO3 and (La,Sr)(Al,Ta)O3 substrates, respectively.

Evaluation of Extreme Cold and Drought over the Mongolian Plateau
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated extreme cold and meteorological drought in the Mongolian Plateau (MP) during 1969-2017 and evaluated several drought indices by analyzing recorded historical drought data in the Chinese region of the MP.
