Ultrathin Reduced Graphene Oxide Films as Transparent Top‐Contacts for Light Switchable Solid‐State Molecular Junctions

TL;DR: A new type of solid-state molecular junction is introduced, which employs reduced graphene oxide as a transparent top contact that permits a self-assembled molecular monolayer to be photoswitched in situ, while simultaneously enabling charge-transport measurements across the molecules.
Journal ArticleDOI

Highly Thermally Conductive Polymer Composite Originated from Assembly of Boron Nitride at an Oil-Water Interface.

TL;DR: 3D boron nitride (BN) network was constructed as heat conduction pathway in polystyrene (PS) matrix based on oil-water interface assembly in this work and it was demonstrated that the storage modulus and thermal stability of the composite substrate were dramatically improved by the BN network.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fabrication of aquaporin-based biomimetic membrane for seawater desalination

TL;DR: In this paper, an AQP incorporated vesicles were embedded into the selective layer of an optimized thin film composite (TFC) membrane and the resultant membrane, denoted as ASW, exhibited a stable water flux around 20Lm−m−2·h−1 and 99% NaCl rejection at a constant pressure of 55 bar using 32,000mg·L−1 NaCl solution as feed in reverse osmosis (RO) measurement.
Journal ArticleDOI

Achieving efficient nitrogen removal from real sewage via nitrite pathway in a continuous nitrogen removal process by combining free nitrous acid sludge treatment and DO control

TL;DR: The results of nitrifying bacteria activities and quantities detection demonstrated that although NOB activities in both reactors were effectively inhibited, a certain amount of NOB were remained in the control reactor and multiplied rapidly as the DO concentration increased, which might break down the partial nitrification.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fabrication of Fullerene Anchored Reduced Graphene Oxide Hybrids and Their Synergistic Reinforcement on the Flame Retardancy of Epoxy Resin

TL;DR: It is shown that the thermal stability and mechanical properties of epoxy are simultaneously improved with the addition of C60-PEI-rGO, which may pioneer a new and efficient method to fabricate fire retardant thermosetting resins with simultaneously other improved properties.
