Highly Nonlinear Chalcogenide Glass Waveguides for All-optical Signal Processing

TL;DR: In this article, the development of highly nonlinear chalcogenide glass waveguides for photonics and their application as nonlinear optical devices for high speed processing and monitoring of telecommunications signals is described.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mitigating effect on turbulent scintillation using non-coherent multi-beam overlapped illumination

TL;DR: In this article, a model using non-coherent multi-beam overlapped illumination was proposed to mitigate the turbulent scintillation for applications involved laser propagation through atmosphere, and the model showed that the best mitigating effect could be obtained using this method when the intensity of N emitting beams equaled to each other.
Journal ArticleDOI

Kirkendall effect Strengthened-Superhydrophilic/superaerophobic Co-Ni3N/NF heterostructure as electrode catalyst for High-current hydrogen production.

TL;DR: In this article , a surface-engineered Co-Ni3N/NF heterostructure electrode was prepared based on Kirkendall effect for high-current water electrolysis, which achieved current densities of 100 mA cm−2 and 500 mAcm−2 at the overpotentials of 98 mV and 123 mV, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of Solution Treatment and Extrusion on the Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of a Mg-2Gd-Nd-0.4Zn-0.3Zr Alloy

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of the combined action of hot work and heat treatment on the microstructure and mechanical properties of a Mg-2Gd-Nd-0.3Zr (W. %) (E21) alloy was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Review on Hydrostatic Extrusion of Magnesium Alloys

TL;DR: In this article, the microstructures and mechanical properties of various wrought Mg alloys subjected to hydrostatic extrusion were discussed and numerical simulations and processing parameters optimization were also discussed.
