TL;DR: A core set of preliminary items considered as important for the very early diagnosis of systemic sclerosis were identified in a Delphi exercise among 110 experts in the field of SSc.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bosentan fosters microvascular de-remodelling in systemic sclerosis
Serena Guiducci,S. Bellando Randone,Cosimo Bruni,G. Carnesecchi,A Maresta,Florenzo Iannone,Giovanni Lapadula,M. Matucci Cerinic +7 more
TL;DR: Data show that Bosentan may improve NVC pattern in SSC and the presence of new capillaries suggests that it may favour angiogenesis, and may improve and stabilise the microvasculature in long-term treatment modulating the structural modifications detected by NVC.
Journal ArticleDOI
Thu0355 parametric cardiac magnetic resonance imaging identifies arrhythmogenic substrates in systemic sclerosis patients
Sophie Mavrogeni,Luna Gargani,A Pepe,Lorenzo Monti,George Markousis-Mavrogenis,M. De Santis,Antonella Meloni,Loukia Koutsogeorgopoulou,Georgia Karabela,Efthymios Stavropoulos,Gikas Katsifis,Konstantinos Bratis,S. Sfikakis,Marco Matucci-Cerinic +24 more
TL;DR: Parametric CMR indices are associated with arrhythmogenicity in SSc patients with cardiac symptoms and should be investigated further in larger studies for their clinical utility in selecting high-risk S sc patients for ICD implantation.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
THU0425 18f-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography and lung involvement in systemic sclerosis
S. Bellando Randone,L. Tartarelli,Edoardo Cavigli,Lorenzo Tofani,Cosimo Bruni,Gemma Lepri,Jelena Blagojevic,A. Moggi Pignone,C. Mihai,Jérôme Avouac,Alessandro Passeri,M. T. R. De Cristofaro,Oliver Distler,Yannick Allanore,Serena Guiducci,M. Matucci Cerinic +15 more
TL;DR: Morphologically “positive” GGO segments show an increased 18F-FDG uptake suggesting the existence of a metabolically active (inflammatory) GGO in SSc interstitial lung disease.
Journal ArticleDOI
AB0698 MID-Term Effects of Rituximab in Connective Tissue Disorders Related Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD)
Gemma Lepri,Jérôme Avouac,Paolo Airò,F. Anguita Santos,S. Bellando Randone,Jelena Blagojevic,Oliver Distler,F. J. García Hernández,J.A. Gonzalez Nieto,Serena Guiducci,Suzana Jordan,Vidya Limaye,Britta Maurer,Valeria Riccieri,A. Selva-O'Calaghan,M. Matucci Cerinic,Yannick Allanore +16 more
TL;DR: The main results show a good safety profile supporting future development and indicate that the drug may provide a stabilization of the involvement of the lung in SSc and MCTD and the SYN group should be prioritized.
