Characterizations of Photo-Alignable Multi-Functioning Polyimide Material

TL;DR: For a potential application in thin-film-transistor liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) manufacturing as a multi-functioning layer working as an overcoat layer and an alignment layer simultaneously, a novel chloromethylated polyimide was synthesized as mentioned in this paper.
Journal Article

Effect of participating in physical fitness assessment on healthcare costs in Korean adults

TL;DR: In this article, the authors assessed the effects of participation in physical fitness assessment on healthcare costs by analyzing healthcare costs in those who did and did not participate in the Physical Fitness Assessment for the National Fitness Award project conducted by the Korean government.
Journal ArticleDOI

Optical Compensation of Circular Polarized High-Transmittance Vertically Aligned Liquid Crystal Displays

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed an optical configuration for the vertical alignment liquid crystal cell with circular polarizer that can realize a wideband and wide viewing angle properties using two biaxial films, a quarter-wave plate and a negative C-plate.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of CdS Nano-Crystal Dispersion on Dielectric Properties of Ferroelectric Liquid Crystal

TL;DR: In this article, photosensitivity in ferroelectric liquid crystal (FLC) material has been developed by dispersing Cadmium Sulfide (CdS) nano-particles in FLC host.
Journal ArticleDOI

P-110: Stabilizing Blue Phase Liquid Crystal with Photo-Reactive Chiral Mesogen

TL;DR: In this paper, photo-inactive chiral dopants with high helical twist power were synthesized by us and then added to double twist cylinder to stabilize blue phase liquid crystal after UV irradiation, BP temperature range was clearly extended compared with pure BP mixture and hysteresis in V-T curve was also dramatically decreased.
