TL;DR: The classification of the legume family proposed here addresses the long-known non-monophyly of the traditionally recognised subfamily Caesalpinioideae, by recognising six robustly supported monophyletic subfamilies and reflects the phylogenetic structure that is consistently resolved.
Journal ArticleDOI
The complete chloroplast genome of Onobrychis gaubae (Fabaceae-Papilionoideae): comparative analysis with related IR-lacking clade species
TL;DR: In this paper , the complete plastid genome of Onobrychis gaubae, endemic to Iran, was sequenced using Illumina paired-end sequencing and was compared with previously known genomes of the IRLC species of legumes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Morphological Innovations and Vast Extensions of Mountain Habitats Triggered Rapid Diversification Within the Species-Rich Irano-Turanian Genus Acantholimon (Plumbaginaceae)
TL;DR: It is hypothesized that the current high species diversity of Acantholimon responds to a scenario of non-adaptive radiation fueled by allopatric speciation rather than evolutionary radiation driven by ecological opportunity.
Journal ArticleDOI
The phylogeny and new classification of the genus Onobrychis (Fabaceae-Hedysareae): evidence from molecular data
TL;DR: The molecular data indicate that Onobrychis is monophyletic and composed of two main clades, each corresponding to the redefined subgenus Onobychis and subgenu Sisyrosema.
