Journal ArticleDOI

Analyzing habituation responses to novelty in zebrafish (Danio rerio).

TL;DR: It is shown that chronic ethanol and fluoxetine treatments improved intra-session habituation in zebrafish and selected anxiogenic drugs (caffeine, pentylenetetrazole), as well as stress-inducing alarm pheromone, attenuated zebra fish habituation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Modeling anxiety using adult zebrafish: A conceptual review

TL;DR: This work evaluates established and novel approaches to uncover the molecular substrates, genetic pathways and neural circuits of anxiety using adult zebrafish, and provides a conceptual framework for the wider application of zebra fish and other aquatic models in anxiety research.
Journal ArticleDOI

Three-dimensional neurophenotyping of adult zebrafish behavior.

TL;DR: This large-scale study generated temporal and spatial three-dimensional reconstructions of zebrafish locomotion, globally assessed behavioral profiles evoked by several anxiogenic and anxiolytic manipulations, mapped individual endpoints to 3D reconstructions, and performed cluster analysis to reconfirm behavioral correlates of high- and low-anxiety states.
