Journal ArticleDOI

Characterization of a spherically bent quartz crystal for Kα x-ray imaging of laser plasmas using a focusing monochromator geometry

TL;DR: In this article, the authors measured peak reflectivity, reflection curve width, and Bragg angle offset of a spherically bent quartz 200 crystal using the x-ray emission from a laser-produced Ar plasma.
Journal ArticleDOI

Characterizing high energy spectra of NIF ignition Hohlraums using a differentially filtered high energy multipinhole x-ray imager.

TL;DR: An array of 18 pinholes with four independent filter combinations is used to image entire Hohlraums with a magnification of 0.87× and indicates that the characteristic 10-40 keV hot electrons are mainly generated from backscattered laser-plasma interactions rather than from HohlRAum hydrodynamics.
Journal ArticleDOI

Thomson scattering in the corona of laser-produced gold plasmas

TL;DR: In this article, the electron temperature in laser-produced gold plasmas was measured with a flat gold disk target with one laser beam of the Nova laser facility at an angle of 64° from the normal.
