Arabidopsis homolog of the yeast TREX‐2 mRNA export complex: components and anchoring nucleoporin
Qing Lu,Xurong Tang,Xurong Tang,Gang Tian,Gang Tian,Fang Wang,Kede Liu,Vi Nguyen,Susanne E. Kohalmi,Wilfred A. Keller,Edward W. T. Tsang,John J. Harada,Steven J. Rothstein,Yuhai Cui +13 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the putative Arabidopsis thaliana TREX-2 complex and its anchoring nucleoporin were identified and characterized, which is essential for mRNA export in eukaryotes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Concerted genomic targeting of H3K27 demethylase REF6 and chromatin-remodeling ATPase BRM in Arabidopsis
Chenlong Li,Chenlong Li,Lianfeng Gu,Lianfeng Gu,Lianfeng Gu,Lei Gao,Chen Chen,Chen Chen,Chuang-Qi Wei,Chuang-Qi Wei,Qi Qiu,Chih Wei Chien,Suikang Wang,Suikang Wang,Lihua Jiang,Lian-Feng Ai,Chia-Yang Chen,Songguang Yang,Vi Nguyen,Yanhua Qi,Michael Snyder,Alma L. Burlingame,Susanne E. Kohalmi,Shangzhi Huang,Xiaofeng Cao,Zhi-Yong Wang,Keqiang Wu,Xuemei Chen,Yuhai Cui,Yuhai Cui +29 more
TL;DR: This work identifies a new genomic targeting mechanism for an H3K27 demethylase and demonstrates its key role in recruiting the BRM chromatin remodeler.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Arabidopsis SWI2/SNF2 chromatin Remodeler BRAHMA regulates polycomb function during vegetative development and directly activates the flowering repressor gene SVP.
Chenlong Li,Chen Chen,Lei Gao,Songguang Yang,Vi Nguyen,Xuejiang Shi,Katherine A. Siminovitch,Susanne E. Kohalmi,Shangzhi Huang,Keqiang Wu,Xuemei Chen,Yuhai Cui +11 more
TL;DR: A genome-wide analysis of trimethylated histone H3 lysine 27 in brm mutant seedlings reveals a genome- wide functional interplay between BRM and PcG and provides new insights into the impacts of these proteins in plant growth and development.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Arabidopsis BRAHMA chromatin-remodeling ATPase is involved in repression of seed maturation genes in leaves.
Xurong Tang,Anfu Hou,Mohan Babu,Vi Nguyen,Lidia Hurtado,Qing Lu,José C. Reyes,Aiming Wang,Wilfred A. Keller,John J. Harada,Edward W. T. Tsang,Yuhai Cui +11 more
TL;DR: The BRM-containing chromatin-remodeling ATPase complex involved in many aspects of plant development mediates the repression of SSPs in leaf tissue, which is consistent with its role in nucleosome remodeling.
Journal ArticleDOI
A self-contained system for the field production of plant recombinant interleukin-10
TL;DR: A hybrid male-sterile low-alkaloid tobacco (MSLA) production platform that addresses concerns about nicotine, and male sterility further reduces the risk of gene leakage, is developed and applied to the production of human interleukin-10, a contra-inflammatory cytokine with potential application in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease and autoimmune diseases.
