Moskowitz,Ingrid Pelisoli,Ingrid Pelisoli,Armin Rest,Armin Rest,Federica Ricci,Federica Ricci,Masao Sako,Marcelle Soares-Santos,Marcelle Soares-Santos,Jay Strader +40 more
TL;DR: In this paper, optical and ultraviolet spectra of the binary neutron star merger GW170817 were obtained nightly between 1.5 and 9.5 days post-merger, using the SOAR and Magellan telescopes.

EVLA OBSERVATIONS CONSTRAIN THE ENVIRONMENT AND PROGENITOR SYSTEM OF Type Ia SUPERNOVA 2011fe
Laura Chomiuk,Laura Chomiuk,Alicia M. Soderberg,Maxwell Moe,Roger A. Chevalier,Michael P. Rupen,Carles Badenes,Raffaella Margutti,Claes Fransson,W. Fong,Jason A. Dittmann +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used the observed properties of non-conservative mass transfer among accreting white dwarfs to exclude a phase space of possible progenitor systems for SN 2011fe, leaving a limited phase space largely inhabited by some double degenerate systems.
Journal ArticleDOI
EVLA Observations Constrain the Environment and Progenitor System of Type Ia Supernova 2011fe
Laura Chomiuk,Laura Chomiuk,Alicia M. Soderberg,Maxwell Moe,Roger A. Chevalier,Michael P. Rupen,Carles Badenes,Raffaella Margutti,Claes Fransson,W. Fong,Jason A. Dittmann +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, the mass loss rate from the progenitor system of SN 2011fe was shown to be at most 1% of the mass accreted by the white dwarfs.
Journal ArticleDOI
Metamorphosis of sn 2014c: delayed interaction between a hydrogen poor core-collapse supernova and a nearby circumstellar shell
Dan Milisavljevic,Raffaella Margutti,Atish Kamble,Daniel J. Patnaude,John C. Raymond,John J. Eldridge,W. Fong,Michael Bietenholz,Peter M. Challis,Ryan Chornock,Maria R. Drout,Claes Fransson,Robert A. Fesen,Jonathan E. Grindlay,Robert P. Kirshner,Ragnhild Lunnan,Jonathan Mackey,George Franklin Miller,Jerod T. Parrent,Nathan Edward Sanders,Alicia M. Soderberg,B. A. Zauderer +21 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present optical observations of supernova SN 2014C, which underwent an unprecedented slow metamorphosis from H-poor type Ib to H-rich type IIn over the course of one year.
