Control of thermoresponsive property of urea end‐functionalized poly(N‐isopropylacrylamide) based on the hydrogen bond‐assisted self‐assembly in water
Keita Fuchise,Ryohei Kakuchi,Sung-Tso Lin,Ryosuke Sakai,Shin-ichiro Sato,Toshifumi Satoh,Wen-Chang Chen,Toyoji Kakuchi +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the precise synthesis of urea end-functionalized poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)s (PNIPAM) by the atom transfer polymerization and the copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition as well as the control of the thermoresponsive properties of PNIPAM by changing the hydrogen bonding ability of the terminal urea groups was described.
Journal ArticleDOI
Modulation of the Hydrophilicity on Asymmetric Side Chains of Isoindigo-Based Polymers for Improving Carrier Mobility–Stretchability Properties
TL;DR: In this paper, a new approach to control the carrier mobility and intrinsic stretchability properties of the polymers by tuning the hydrophilicity and asymmetric side-chain combination was proposed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Enhancing the Mechanical Durability of an Organic Field Effect Transistor through a Fluoroelastomer Substrate with a Crosslinking-Induced Self-Wrinkled Structure
TL;DR: In this paper, a facile method to enhance the ductility of conjugated polymer thin films by using elastomeric substrates with a self-wrinkled structure is demonstrated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Utilization of micelles formed from poly(ethylene glycol)-block- poly(ε-caprolactone) block copolymers as nanocarriers to enable hydrophobic red two-photon absorbing emitters for cells imaging
Yanqing Tian,Yanqing Tian,Wen Chung Wu,Ching Yi Chen,Sei Hum Jang,Meng Zhang,Timothy J. Strovas,Judy E. Anderson,Brad T. Cookson,Yongzhong Li,Deirdre R. Meldrum,Wen-Chang Chen,Alex K.-Y. Jen +12 more
TL;DR: This is the first reported application of a hydrophobic 2,1,3-benzothiadiazole-containing 2PA red emitter delivered into the cytoplasm of cells for bioimaging and toxicity assessment.
Journal ArticleDOI
Stimuli-responsive conjugated rod-coil block copolymers: Synthesis, morphology, and applications
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors provide an overview on synthetic methods to prepare conjugated rod-coil block copolymers with two major architectures: linear and hyperbranched copolymer, and the effects of different stimuli on their morphological transitions and their corresponding photophysical properties.
