TL;DR: An ongoing search for pulsars and dispersed radio emission, such as those from rotating radio transients (RRATs) and fast radio bursts, at 350 MHz using the Green Bank Telescope is described in this article.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: Pulsar timing array (PTA) collaborations in North America, Australia, and Europe have been exploiting the exquisite timing precision of millisecond pulsars over decades of observations to search for correlated timing deviations induced by gravitational waves (GWs).
Journal ArticleDOI
The stochastic background: scaling laws and time to detection for pulsar timing arrays
TL;DR: In this article, the authors derived scaling laws for the signal-to-noise ratio of the optimal cross-correlation statistic, and showed that the large power-law increase of the signal to noise ratio as a function of the observation time T that is usually assumed holds only at early times.
