TL;DR: The amplitude of the Compton-getting (CG) anisotropy contains the power-law index of the cosmic-ray energy spectrum as mentioned in this paper, which can be used to confirm the astrophysical origin of the "knee" against models for nonstandard hadronic interactions in the atmosphere.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors search for steady PeV gamma-ray emission from the Monogem ring region with the Tibet air shower array from 1997 February to 2004 October, and no evidence for statistically significant gamma ray signals was found in a region 111° ≤ R.A.
