TL;DR: In this article, mean-variance efficient portfolios are derived when investors aim to achieve a given correlation (or a given dependence structure) with a stochastic benchmark, and upper bounds on Sharpe ratios are provided for fraud detection.
Abstract: We first study mean-variance efficient portfolios when there are no trading constraints and show that optimal strategies perform poorly in bear markets. We then assume investors use a stochastic benchmark (linked to the market) as a reference portfolio. We derive mean-variance efficient portfolios when investors aim to achieve a given correlation (or a given dependence structure) with a stochastic benchmark. We also provide upper bounds on Sharpe ratios and show how these can be useful for fraud detection. For example it is shown that under some conditions it is not possible for investment funds to display negative correlation with the financial market and to have a positive Sharpe ratio. All results are illustrated in a Black-Scholes market.

TL;DR: The authors found that counterfeit dominance negatively affects the perceived quality and purchase intention of luxury fashion brands across product categories for Anglo-American, but not for Asian, consumers, and a social-adjustive attitude underlies this difference.

Abstract: In this theoretical paper we investigate how domination has adapted to the new social settings of a flexible and pluralist economy. Building on French pragmatic sociology, we propose an understanding of organizational domination whereby workers are enabled and encouraged to overtly express critique, yet work is nevertheless effectively obtained from dominated actors. Domination is here mainly understood as a system through which workers are engaged in action despite critiquing that action. We propose the concept of elusive domination as a combination of three mechanisms that undermine critique’s capacity to influence organizational power arrangements. First, ideological plasticity allows elusive domination to disarm critique by depriving it of its argument. Next, a combination of fast-changing rules and sacrosanct conventions prevents critique from settling, and thus deprives it of its object. Finally, emotions displayed in the workplace are filtered. The encouragement of positive and constructive critique coupled with the repression of uncomfortable feelings deprives critique of its source of indignation. The consequences of such developments for current debates on organizational domination are discussed.

TL;DR: In this paper, a framework of key performance indicator (KPI) system including three level issues of what is input, what is done and what happens is designed for technological innovation audit, which can reflect the performance of technological innovation at firm's level comprehensively.
Abstract: This research aims at taking a further step in developing a methodology framework of innovation performance audit. With adopting the ideology of performance measurement system, a framework of key performance indicator(KPI) system including three level issues of ‘what is input’, ‘what is done’ and ‘what happens’ is designed for technological innovation audit, which can reflect the performance of technological innovation at firm's level comprehensively. Furthermore, a questionnaire survey on line is conducted to test the validity of the key performance indicator system. Based on data analysis, the KPI system is proved to be effective as a whole, of which most indicators not only are important, but also could be measured easily in firms. Finally, in-depth innovation performance audit of four hi-tech firms is taken as a case study to verify the validity of the KPI system.
