TL;DR: In this paper, an automatic system that treats the household waste water to obtain optimum pH which is suitable for crop irrigation is proposed, which can be semi-automated with the help of microcontroller, solenoid valve, DC motor, 4×4 keypad and pH paper.
Abstract: This paper proposes an automatic system that treats the household waste water to obtain optimum pH which is suitable for crop irrigation. Each plant species has a preferred pH and in general, the optimal range for maximum plant growth is 5.4 to 6.8. For a healthy plant growth the quality of soil and water plays a vital role and the combined pH of soil and the waste water must be in the range of 5.5 to 7. Soil pH of the particular area is first measured and the pH of the waste water is treated in such a way that the combined pH will be suitable for plant growth. A hardware setup is presented in this paper to automate this process with the help of microcontroller, solenoid valve, DC motor and pH sensor. It also can be semi-automated with the help of microcontroller, solenoid valve, DC motor, 4×4 keypad and pH paper.

TL;DR: The approach explores the effectiveness of Gabor phase information on FPGA platform by addressing the drawbacks like computational complexity and hardware complexity by mapping the algorithms.
Abstract: VLSI architecture for face recognition system based on Local Gabor XOR Pattern (LGXP) feature extraction method is presented in this paper. LGXP is utilized to encode Gabor phase variations and to extract feature with the help of Gabor filter and Local XOR Pattern (LXP) operator. VLSI architecture for Gabor Filter and a Behavioral model for LXP operator for feature extraction are investigated. Also a behavioral model for Similarity matching is designed using Verilog language. The similarity matching for face recognition is executed by L1 distance measure. Therefore our approach explores the effectiveness of Gabor phase information on FPGA platform by addressing the drawbacks like computational complexity and hardware complexity by mapping the algorithms. The proposed approach is designed on virtex-5 device using Veriolg HDL in Xilinx ISE tool and the logic utilization results will be generated using synthesis tool while the power consumption report will be analyzed using Xpower analysis tool. Also the effectiveness of our design is evaluated with FAR, FRR and accuracy plot in Matlab simulation environment. Research outcome of our proposed face recognition system over UPC face database is 72.225% Accuracy for distance matching threshold of '5'.

TL;DR: In this paper, a study of thermo-vibrational convective instability in an infinitely extended flat anisotropic porous module, permeated by a second-grade fluid and heated from below is investigated depending on an externally imposed magnetic field.
Abstract: A study of thermo–vibrational convective instability in an infinitely extended flat anisotropic porous module, permeated by a second-grade fluid and heated from below is investigated depending on an externally imposed magnetic field. The Floquet hypothesis is applied to govern the onset condition within the background of linear stability theory by means of normal mode assumption. The present investigation is focused on the small amplitude mechanical vibration and the results are found by means of Mathieu’s functions and its stability charts. Special emphasis is given to examine the effects on anisotropies in permeability and thermal diffusivity of the porous module along the transverse direction. The emerging instabilities by means of the synchronous and subharmonic modes and the exact changeover point among them are examined for the different governing parameters. It is revealed that the externally imposed magnetic force has a stabilizing impact and hence a drop in flow moments.

TL;DR: The framework involves access log preprocessing, user identification, session identification and Mountain density function (MDF)-based fuzzy clustering, which represents common navigational behavior among the users.
Abstract: Websites are the primary medium of any organization to communicate to their customers. Navigational usability and accessibility of the website are crucial to gain competitive advantage. Understanding how the customer uses the website can provide insight into their behavior. Web server logs contain latent information about usage behavior of customers. User sessions are a sequence of pages accessed by users for a specific period. The sessions are reconstructed from the web server logs. Simulated Annealing technique is used to enhance the process of identifying sessions. Considering the non-deterministic browsing behavior, soft clustering methods are used for assigning membership value for each session to belong to a cluster. A modified form of Fuzzy C-Means is used for clustering. The framework involves access log preprocessing, user identification, session identification and Mountain density function (MDF)-based fuzzy clustering. The obtained clusters represent common navigational behavior among the users.
