TL;DR: The results suggest that within MSEC, online educational disaster management games can be exploited as effective and motivational learning environments, irrespective of students' gender.
Abstract: The aim of this study was to measure the learning effectiveness and motivational appeal of an online games for learning Disaster Management Education (DME) concepts, which was designed according to the curricular objectives and the subject matter of the Mepco Schlenk Engineering College (MSEC) curriculum, as compared to a similar application, encompassing equal learning objectives and content but lacking the gaming aspect. The study also investigated prospective gender differences in the game's learning efficacy and motivational appeal. The sample was 124 students, who were arbitrarily apportioned to two groups, one of which used the online gaming application (Group A, N = 62) and the other one the non-user of online gaming one (Group B, N = 62). A Disaster Management Knowledge Test (DMKT) was used as the pre-test and post-test. Students were also perceived during the interventions. Data analyses disclosed that the gaming approach was both more active in stimulating students' knowledge of DME concepts and more motivational than the non-online gaming approach. Despite girls' greater involvement with, liking of and experience in disaster online gaming, and their greater initial disaster management knowledge, the learning gains that boys and girls achieved through the usage of the game did not differ significantly, and the game was found to be more motivational for girls than the boys. The results suggest that within MSEC, online educational disaster management games can be exploited as effective and motivational learning environments, irrespective of students' gender.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a long short-term memory (LSTM) network which takes the historical sales data of the products as input and forecasts the demand of each product for next three time series.
Abstract: This article presents the model to sales forecast in marketplace and compares with different machine learning models to predict the demand in the future. With the recent advancement of deep learning architecture, it is possible to handle large voluminous market data. In this article, we have proposed long short-term memory (LSTM) network which takes the historical sales data of the products as input and forecasts the demand of each product for next three time series. The raw sales data are first preprocessed using various techniques, and then, the processed input is fed into the model. The sales data are fine-tuned periodically based on the actual demand. The real-time sales data are acquired from markets situated in and around southern state of India, and our work is validated with 60–40 split in which 60% data are used as training and 40% data are used as testing and gives best forecasting accuracy with lowest error value.

TL;DR: The purpose of this paper is the analysis of the inverter fed induction machine with broken rotor for diagnostic purposes and the features of magnetic flux of healthy conditions of a three phase induction motor are compared with that of the faulty conditions.
Abstract: A method for the fault diagnosis of a broken rotor bar in induction motor is presented. The method is based on the analysis of the magnetic flux of three-phase Induction motor. The purpose of this paper is the analysis of the inverter fed induction machine with broken rotor for diagnostic purposes. The features of magnetic flux of healthy conditions of a three phase induction motor are compared with that of the faulty conditions.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed the design of converter, to synchronize the renewable energy like PV and wind with the grid, in terms of voltage, frequency, and phase.
Abstract: Integration of renewable and non-renewable energy has been developing rapidly, due to emerging smart grid technologies and growing energy demand. This paper proposes the design of converter, to synchronize the renewable energy like PV and wind with the grid. Generally, the output from the renewable energy sources is always variable in nature. This necessitates the inclusion of an interface like the grid synchronized inverters in order to synchronize and control the renewable energy sources to the grid. To achieve grid synchronization, a Phase Locked Loop (PLL) is used. The MATLAB SIMULINK is used for the simulation of single phase inverter to synchronize it with the grid, in terms of voltage, frequency and phase. In addition to the design of a grid synchronized inverter, the project also focuses on the design of a Buck-Boost converter with closed loop fuzzy controller which maintains a constant DC voltage to the inverter, to achieve the synchronization with the grid in terms of voltage.
