TL;DR: A monolingual plagiarism detection technique has been developed to tackle cases of paraphrased plagiarism and the performance of the system has been evaluated on various corpora, and the passage level approach has registered promising results.
Abstract: Abstract Plagiarism in free text has become a common occurrence due to the wide availability of voluminous information resources. Automatic plagiarism detection systems aim to identify plagiarized content present in large repositories. This task is rendered difficult by the use of sophisticated plagiarism techniques such as paraphrasing and summarization, which mask the occurrence of plagiarism. In this work, a monolingual plagiarism detection technique has been developed to tackle cases of paraphrased plagiarism. A support vector machine based paraphrase recognition system, which works by extracting lexical, syntactic, and semantic features from input text has been used. Both sentence-level and passage-level approaches have been investigated. The performance of the system has been evaluated on various corpora, and the passage level approach has registered promising results.

TL;DR: Experimental evaluations using synthetic datasets show the cache pre-fetch and replacement policy are effective in improving the system performance in terms of the cache hit ratio of mobile clients.
Abstract: This paper proposes a cache management method that manages the cache content by pre-fetching data items with maximum prefetch score and evicting cache data items with minimum replacement score. The strategy is to pre-fetch the most probable secondary services based on user's query pattern. The client cache is partitioned into three sections to place and replace the items. Association rule mining is used for determining the items that should be pre-fetched. Dual Valid Scopes are used to invalidate the prefetched items based on their age. A replacement policy is designed which takes into account the age of the items, access probability and distance between the mobile client and the service item which suits a pre-fetching environment. The experimental evaluations using synthetic datasets show the cache pre-fetch and replacement policy are effective in improving the system performance in terms of the cache hit ratio of mobile clients.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reported the rapid synthesis of Se-Te-based chalcogenide glasses through microwave irradiation without the help of metal powders, and the glasses were characterized by thermal analysis and x-ray analysis.
Abstract: In this paper we report the rapid synthesis of Se–Te based chalcogenide glasses through microwave irradiation without the help of metal powders. Mixtures of chalcogens can be made to couple to microwaves when at least one constituent of the mixture has a relatively higher electrical conductivity. Also, this constituent has to be in powder form. The glasses thus prepared have been characterized by thermal analysis and x-ray analysis, and it has been confirmed that the Tg values of our samples are comparable to the already reported Tg values for samples prepared by conventional methods. Thus, this type of rapid synthesis may replace the prolonged conventional procedures for synthesis of these glasses.
