TL;DR: In this paper, the vertically aligned NiS nano-flakes composed thin film is prepared by anionic exchange process in which hydrothermally prepared Ni(OH)2 is used as a parent thin film and Na2S as a sulfide ion source.

TL;DR: Wurzite type zinc oxide (ZnO) mesoporous nanofibers for low-cost thin film solar cells were successfully synthesized by a simple electrospinning technique as discussed by the authors.
Abstract: Wurzite type zinc oxide (ZnO) mesoporous nanofibers for low-cost thin film solar cells were successfully synthesized by a simple electrospinning technique. The n-type semiconducting ZnO mesoporous nanofibers were obtained from polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and a zinc nitrate precursor in ethanol and water after calcination treatment at 520 °C for 1 h. The as-synthesized PVP–ZnO and calcined ZnO nanofibers were characterized using X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The vibrational properties of the ZnO mesoporous nanofibers were recorded by micro-Raman spectroscopy. The results show that the calcined ZnO mesoporous nanofibers have a single phase with good crystallinity.

TL;DR: It was found that invertase immobilized on MNPs (IIMNPs) were more stable at varying pH and temperature conditions than free enzyme, and the ability to convert sucrose into invert syrup was enhanced in immobilized inverts.
Abstract: Industrially important invertase enzyme was immobilized on chitosan coated sol gel derived γ-Fe2O3 magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) to enable it for repetitive use by magnetic separation. MNPs were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), dynamic light scattering (DLS), field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometer and magnetic measurements. FTIR studies confirmed successful immobilization of invertase on MNPs. The ability to convert sucrose into invert syrup was enhanced in immobilized invertase compared to that of free enzyme. Further it was found that invertase immobilized on MNPs (IIMNPs) were more stable at varying pH and temperature conditions. Magnetic separation technique was successfully employed for reuse of the IIMNPs for 20 times without significant loss of activity.

TL;DR: In this article, the zinc oxide (ZnO) thin films were deposited onto the glass substrates by a novel chemical method, which is based on the alternate dipping of substrate in an alkaline zinc nitrate solution and double-distilled water containing H 2 O 2 (1%) at room temperature.
