TL;DR: A multichannel colorimetric sensor array for detection of five thiols, including glutathione (GSH), cysteine (Cys), dimercaptosuccinic acid (DMSA), 3-mercaptopropionic acid (MPA) and dithiothreitol (DTT), is demonstrated in water and diluted fetal bovine serum based on the pH-induced silver nanoprism (AgNPR) etching strategy.
Abstract: A multichannel colorimetric sensor array for detection of five thiols, including glutathione (GSH), cysteine (Cys), dimercaptosuccinic acid (DMSA), 3-mercaptopropionic acid (MPA) and dithiothreitol (DTT), is demonstrated in water and diluted fetal bovine serum based on the pH-induced silver nanoprism (AgNPR) etching strategy. The etching of AgNPRs by dissolved oxygen in the alkaline pH environment causes a blueshift of the localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) absorption. AgNPRs at three pH values (pH 11, pH 11.6, and pH 12) with different LSPR absorptions are selected as the sensing elements. The present sensor array shows a high sensitivity, and five thiols can be well distinguished at concentrations as low as 10 nM which is two to three orders of magnitude better than that of the reported sensor array. Notably, the identification of 16 unknown thiol samples with 100% accuracy is achieved. Additionally, this sensor array is able to discriminate individual thiols and their mixtures.

TL;DR: The ZnO@MoS2 nanocomposite heterostructure provides a reference for the development of ultra-high-speed photoelectric switching devices, photodetector(PD) devices, and photoelectrocatalytic technologies.
Abstract: In this paper, ZnO@MoS2 core-shell heterojunction arrays were successfully prepared by the two-step hydrothermal method, and the growth mechanism was systematically studied. We found that the growth process of molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) was sensitively dependent on the reaction temperature and time. Through an X-ray diffractometry (XRD) component test, we determined that we prepared a 2H phase MoS2 with a direct bandgap semiconductor of 1.2 eV. Then, the photoelectric properties of the samples were studied on the electrochemical workstation. The results show that the ZnO@MoS2 heterojunction acts as a photoanode, and the photocurrent reaches 2.566 mA under the conditions of 1000 W/m2 sunshine and 0.6 V bias. The i-t curve also illustrates the perfect cycle stability. Under the condition of illumination and external bias, the electrons flow to the conduction band of MoS2 and flow out through the external electrode of MoS2. The holes migrate from the MoS2 to the zinc oxide (ZnO) valence band. It is transferred to the external circuit through the glass with fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) together with the holes on the ZnO valence band. The ZnO@MoS2 nanocomposite heterostructure provides a reference for the development of ultra-high-speed photoelectric switching devices, photodetector(PD) devices, and photoelectrocatalytic technologies.

TL;DR: Based on the results of uniaxial compression creep test of crushed Red-layers mudstone soils and the principle of the single stress state variable in unsaturated soils, the theory of unsaturated embankment settlement of Redlayers is put forward as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: The settlement of an embankment body is always a significant technological issue in highway and railway construction. The embankment body is usually constructed using unsaturated soil, whose deformation consists of three parts, instantaneous deformation, primary-consolidation deformation and secondary-consolidation deformation. The primary consolidation and the secondary compression deformations are not two separate processes, but they influence each other, that are the deformation of the embankment body is the coupling-effect result of unsaturated-rheology and consolidation. Based on the results of uniaxial compression creep test of crushed Red-layers mudstone soils and the principle of the single stress state variable in unsaturated soils, the theory of unsaturated embankment settlement of Red-layers is put forward. Physical centrifugal tests and numerical simulation of centrifugal loading process are adapted not only to study the relationships of the settlement of the embankment body filled with different compaction coefficients versus embankment filling height, as well as the settlement after construction versus time, but also to predict the settlement after construction. Based on these studies, a project case, the settlement characteristics of a section of the railway line for passenger traffic from Chongqing to Suining have been studied by numerical simulation considering actual filling process. These show that the physical centrifugal tests and site monitoring data largely coincide with the corresponding numerical simulation results, showing the high validation of the proposed coupling-theory.
