TL;DR: In this paper, an artificial neural network (ANN)-based approach for on-line voltage security assessment is presented. And the proposed approach uses radial basis function (RBF) networks to estimate the voltage stability level of the system under contingency state.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated electrocoagulation of acid blue 113 textile effluent in a batch electrochemical reactor covering wide range in the operating conditions using statistical tool of Response Surface Method (RSM) to analyze the combined effect of operating parameters on the efficiency of electro coagulation process.
Abstract: This investigation attempts to study electrocoagulation of Acid Blue 113 textile effluent in a batch electrochemical reactor covering wide range in the operating conditions. Experiments were designed using statistical tool of Response Surface Method (RSM) to analyze the combined effect of operating parameters on the efficiency of electro coagulation process. The level of importance of the experimental parameters on the percentage COD removal has been determined by using analysis of variance (ANOVA). Further, the percentage COD removal was also modeled using artificial neural network (ANN).

TL;DR: In vitro cytotoxic activity of the biofunctionalized green-synthesized SNPs (GSNPs) indicated that the sensitivity of HT29 human colon adenocarcinoma cells for cytotoxicity drugs is higher than that of Vero cell line for the same cytot toxic agents and also higher than the bioactive compound of the aqueous extract.
Abstract: Background Gymnema sylvestre is an ethno-pharmacologically important medicinal plant used in many polyherbal formulations for its potential health benefits. Silver nanoparticles (SNPs) were biofunctionalized using aqueous leaf extracts of G. sylvestre. The anticancer properties of the bioactive compounds and the biofunctionalized SNPs were compared using the HT29 human adenoma colon cancer cell line.

TL;DR: In this article, a highly luminescent iron-III-based amino-functionalized metal-organic framework (MOF) of type NH2-MIL-101(Fe) was synthesized by a solvothermal method.
Abstract: A highly luminescent iron(III)-based amino-functionalized metal-organic framework (MOF) of type NH2-MIL-101(Fe) was synthesized by a solvothermal method. Its structure and morphology were studied by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and FTIR. The strong fluorescence of the electron-rich MOF is shown to be quenched by electron-deficient nitroaromatic compounds. Compared to solvents such as water and other organic solvents, quenching by the nitroaromatic compounds nitrobenzene (NB), 4-nitrophenol (4-NP), 4-nitrotoluene (4-NT) and 1,3-dinitrobenzene (1,3-DNB) is particularly strong. The detection limits for NB, 4-NP, 4-NT and 1,3-DNB are 32 ppm, 17 ppm, 9.8 ppm and 11.5 ppm.
